Description

This is the first composition we have from Giovanni Bottesini, written in 1834. Italo Caimmi (1889-1918), student of Bottesini, passed a copy to Giuseppe Marangoni (1866-1947), principal Double Bass of La Scala di Milano, who in his turn made a copy for Lebrecht Goedecke (1872-1947), principal Double Bass of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.

The present publication is based on this copy, revised and edited by Klaus Stoll and Jan Alm.
